Phased Array is an advanced ultrasonic non-destructive testing technique. Unlike conventional ultrasound that uses a single crystal with a fixed beam, Phased Array employs a probe with multiple small elements that can be activated individually. Through precise electronic control of the activation timing of these elements (focal delays), it is possible to manipulate the ultrasonic beam, allowing it to be directed, scanned, and focused without physically moving the probe.
The ability to control the ultrasonic beam translates into significant benefits:
Phased Array is ideal for critical applications where precision and reliability are paramount:
Phased Array Ultrasound is not just an incremental improvement; it is a qualitative leap in inspection technology. At Compañía Técnica, we have adopted this technology to offer our clients faster, more reliable, and more comprehensive inspections, ensuring maximum integrity of their assets.
At Compañía Técnica this translates into concrete work: phased array and industrial ultrasonic testing, carried out with our own equipment, deployable anywhere in Argentina, and a report signed by a technical representative registered with the Energy Secretariat. The full catalogue of non-destructive testing sets out the scope of each one.
